The verification standard

Nothing here
goes up
unchecked

Anyone can publish here, and nothing publishes without going through this first. It's written on a public page rather than kept in our heads, so you can hold us to it — and so a rejection is something you can argue with.

01 / THE FOUR STAGES

Where anything you submit can be, at any moment.

Submitted

You post it with what it does, what it costs, and who it's for. About ten minutes.

In review

We install it, run it end to end, and time the setup ourselves. Usually two to four days.

Verified

It does what you said. Published with the real setup time and our notes attached.

Sent back

It didn't do what the listing claimed, or we couldn't get it running. You get the notes and can resubmit.

02 / WHAT "IN REVIEW" ACTUALLY INVOLVES

Five checks, in this order.

None of them are automated and none of them are a formality. This is the slow part, and it is the only reason a listing here means anything.

  1. We install it from scratch, on a clean box, following only what your listing says. If we have to go and find a missing step, the listing is wrong and it goes back.
  2. We time it with a clock, from opening the instructions to the thing working. That number goes on the listing whether or not it flatters anybody, including us.
  3. We check what it touches: which accounts, what it changes, and whether you can undo it. Anything irreversible is labelled on the card, not in a footnote underneath.
  4. We look for where it bites. Rate limits, terms-of-service exposure, deliverability. This is the part most write-ups leave out and the only part that can cost you a domain.
  5. We check the licence and the exit. If you can't get your data back out, it doesn't go up.
Verified is not the same as risk-free A tool can pass all five and still get your domain flagged or your account limited. So anything touching an external platform ships with its rate limits and terms-of-service exposure stated on the listing, because that's the part that costs you something you can't buy back.

03 / WHAT WE WON'T DO

The commitments worth writing down.

A promise is only worth anything if breaking it would be visible. That's why these are on a public page and not in an about-us paragraph.

Affiliate links
NeverNot on a listing, not in the email, not disclosed-but-still-there. The entire value of the shelf is that nothing on it was bought.
Paid placement
NeverNo sponsored listings, no ordering by who paid, no "featured" tier. If money ever enters it will be a labelled job board or labelled sponsored sessions, announced here first.
Invented social proof
NeverField notes are dated, named and real, or the slot stays empty. It is currently empty nearly everywhere on this site, which is the honest state of a thing this new.
Urgency tricks
NeverNo countdowns, no "3 spots left", no fake scarcity. Nothing here expires, so pretending it does would just be a lie with a timer on it.
